Cable television is dead. But did it deserve to die?

Today we tune into what made cable TV so special up until the 2000s, and how it may have been better than streaming. The rise of Netflix, Hulu, and other streaming services in the 2010s has led to the fall of cable television, but we lost more than just our ability to watch Spongebob and Seinfeld. We lost the forgotten benefits of cable television: the community and predictability it gave us.
